FAQ — About MS Walk

MS Walk is a community-driven fundraising event for Canadians affected by MS. We come together annually across the country to build awareness for multiple sclerosis and fundraise for the MS Society of Canada.

From the time you register, to MS Walk day in May, you’ll be connected online to others across the country who care just as much about finding a cure for MS as you do.  Together, we’ll share stories and cheer each other on as we strive to reach our fundraising goals!  On Sunday, May 28, walk as an individual or as part of a team at one of our in-person MS Walks, or join us anywhere!

MS Walk day is Sunday, May 28!  Registered Walkers, along with their friends and family will get active in their communities and walk to fundraising and show their support for Canadians impacted by MS.

The MS community is about the support and connections made by participating in MS Walk.  However you choose to walk, know that your participation and fundraising moves us closer to a world free of MS!

MS Walk can be anywhere you want! Join us at one of our in-person MS Walks or participate anywhere.

Wherever you choose to walk, know that your fundraising moves us closer to a world free of MS!

With our online event option, you can take part in MS Walk regardless of geography!  If you have friends or family who are registered for the MS Walk in another community, join their team and get in on the fun.  Or click here to participate with other Canadians from coast-to-coast as we walk toward a world free of MS.

Don’t see a walk in your area and interested in starting a volunteer led walk?
If you’re interested in leading a walk in your city, please fill out the form below by Jan 31, 2023 to indicate your interest and plans. We’ll be in touch within a week. Please click HERE

For 2023, we encourage you to decide what MS Walk looks like for you. That could include walking around the block on your own, taking a stroll in your neighbourhood with members of your household, or gathering with friends and family.

The MS Society of Canada does not encourage participants to solicit funds by door-to-door canvassing.

People living with MS across Canada are at the heart of everything we do. The money you raise ensures that people affected by MS receive quality access and support that they need in whichever community they live in. It is our priority to ensure we support programs and services that people can access across the country – regardless of where they live. Some examples of this programming include virtual wellness, 1:1 Peer Support, and our MS Knowledge Network.
