We have disabled the feature of entering offline donations from Fundraising Portals this year to better streamline the post-Walk reconciliation process and get your totals and recognition incentives to you sooner.

We know that participants get excited to see their thermometers grow, and it is a useful tool to encourage your network to donate and get you to your goal. In order to have your thermometer updated, please submit your offline pledges to our office as soon as you receive them.  Once they have been confirmed as received, your thermometer will be updated to reflect your current total.

With the change to our new fundraising system, you can no longer enter offline donations on behalf of someone else using your credit card.  According to CRA regulations, the tax receipt for online donations must be connected to the credit card of the donor, so there is no longer an option to enter separate donor and billing information.

If you have already tried to put through a donation on someone’s behalf using your credit card, please verify that your account information is still correct.  If your account information now shows your donor’s details instead of your own, please reach out to us right away at 1-888-822-8467 or walk@mscanada.ca.

All participants who individually raise $150 or more are eligible to receive fundraising rewards.  Please visit our Fundraising Rewards page for the levels and incentive items for the 2024 MS Walk!

A member of the MS Walk team will be in touch to congratulate you for reaching a fundraising milestone and confirm that you’d like to receive your rewards.  You’ll also see an achievement badge added to your Personal Page when you have hit a new fundraising milestone!

All donations received before June 30, 2024 will be counted towards fundraising reward totals.

For participants who reach the fundraising milestone by April 30, the reward will arrive by MS Walk Day – Sunday, May 26.  Rewards for all other participants will be shipped after event day and depending on location, may take 3-6 weeks to arrive.

For online donations made by credit card, tax receipts are sent out immediately directly to the donor’s email.

For cash or cheque donations, tax receipts will be sent out 6-8 weeks post-event.
