FAQ — About MS Walk

MS Walk is a community-driven fundraising event for Canadians affected by MS. We come together annually across the country to build awareness for multiple sclerosis and fundraise for the MS Canada.

From the time you register, to MS Walk day in May, you’ll be connected online to others across the country who care just as much about finding a cure for MS as you do.  Together, we’ll share stories and cheer each other on as we strive to reach our fundraising goals!  On Sunday, May 26, walk as an individual or as part of a team at one of our in-person MS Walks, or join us anywhere!

MS Walk day is Sunday, May 26!  Registered Walkers, along with their friends and family will get active in their communities and walk to fundraising and show their support for Canadians impacted by MS.

The MS community is about the support and connections made by participating in MS Walk.  However you choose to walk, know that your participation and fundraising moves us closer to a world free of MS!

MS Walk can be anywhere you want! Join us at one of our in-person MS Walks or participate anywhere.

Wherever you choose to walk, know that your fundraising moves us closer to a world free of MS!

With our online event option, you can take part in MS Walk regardless of geography!  If you have friends or family who are registered for the MS Walk in another community, join their team and get in on the fun.  Or click here to participate with other Canadians from coast-to-coast as we walk toward a world free of MS.

For 2024, we encourage you to decide what MS Walk looks like for you. That could include walking around the block on your own, taking a stroll in your neighbourhood with members of your household, or gathering with friends and family.

First please register for your event, then you can start to fundraise by making a personal pledge, asking friends and family or your community on social media.

When you fundraise $150 or more, you will earn a t-shirt, which will be sent to you in the mail.

Cheques can be mailed to our MS Canada National Office. Please send them to:

Absolutely.  If May 26th doesn’t work for you, you can register, fundraise and participate on a date that works for you.

The MS Canada does not encourage participants to solicit funds by door-to-door canvassing.

People living with MS across Canada are at the heart of everything we do. The money you raise ensures that people affected by MS receive quality access and support that they need in whichever community they live in. It is our priority to ensure we support programs and services that people can access across the country – regardless of where they live. Some examples of this programming include virtual wellness, 1:1 Peer Support, and our MS Knowledge Network.
